Assignment
The parent company asked me to investigate the high staff turnover and make recommendations on improvements

Context
The subsidiary had very high staff turnover and a recent tribunal case

It was also incurring high ongoing financial losses which were being born by the parent company

Approach
Individual meetings with all employees and some members of the parent company

Review of people management processes

Feedback given so as to gain acceptance and motivation to take action to build upon what was working plus areas for improvement – in people management and operations

Results
• Employees were delighted to have been truly listened to

Advised on the people management situation

I also uncovered the reasons for the financial losses (which had eluded the accountancy firm investigating the issue)

We gained the cooperation of employees to exploring all the options for the business, and were able to gain their support to a smooth rundown of operations and containment of costs
